I went out early to scout the area for my session with this sweet family, I got very nervous as I was doing my walk about...the wind was howling and the rain was threatening. If you know babies you know wind and rain don't usually make for happy babies so I was really hoping the weather would turn around.
As I walked back to the lot to meet them the Sun came out(hooray I thought) They pulled in and man oh man their son was already smiles and dressed very sweet.
We walked over to our fist location in the forest and suddenly the wind dissipated (Yippee)
I had such a lovely time with this family, getting to know them more and seeing how deeply they love their son is something that makes me so very grateful for the job I have.
Thank you families for letting me in and allowing me to capture these very precious moments!
enjoy their session.
Thank you for checking out my blog :)
I am just a woman who has been given the chance to follow her passion for a career. I have two children, am married to an incredible and supportive man and live on the incredible Vancouver Island. Choosing a photographer doesn't have to be hard, choose someone whose style you love and whose personality you mesh with. By choosing me to capture your moments to look back on for years to come, you will have photographs to touch your heart and I can gaurentee we will share some laughs :)

I found a new respect...for Ballerina's...and their mothers
My youngest son is homeschooled, actually he is in the program called learn@home. We absolutely love this schooling not only for the freedom of learning it gives us but also for the sense of community from the other families.
From spending many hours in the shared family room I have made some great connections and learned about the lives of others. Recently I have since had the privilege to take photos of two of such families little ballerinas.
I truly knew nothing of ballet other than it was pretty and to be respected, but now I have an even deeper respect for the mothers of children of ballet. The time and energy spent in practice and going to and from recitals and not to mention learning to do their hair the proper way (believe me its not just as simple as putting their hair in a bun)
I am so grateful to these families and all my clients for letting me in their lives and sharing with me their stories.
Enjoy these two cuties. They are posing this specific way for an audition they had to send in. I am terrible and completely forget the name of the pose but they did well I can tell you that. Just try and do the pose yourself AND try and hold it for a photo!
Thanks for listening :)

I was able to take a few of Breeana a few months back. Isn't she a cutie!
Doesn't every ballerina need Adorable pink rubber boots. Totally one that just made me giggle and had to include.

Me...This is me in a nut shell
Hello there,
I have not taken the time till now to truly introduce myself to any followers I have. I guess because for a long time I really thought its basically my family following me and they know who I am.
A few things to know about me
1- My punctuation and gramma in writing is Awful - always has been - I am so sorry Mrs. Marren Reitsma (my favourite english teacher ever, possibly my favourite teacher of all) you really did try your best.
2- I love stupid reality tv - like the Bachelor, Big Brother and Survivor- Pretty sure its because I am the noisiest parker ever and love to watch other people. Growing up sitting in a mall (waiting for my mom)with my dad and people watching was something I truly enjoyed.
3- I have an extremely busy crazy life but I love it. I have two boys who have boundless energy. We are an outdoors family and therefore on the go. One of my sons is doing homeschool which adds to the insanity of my life but I don't regret it. I am forever taking photos and my phone especially is always full, the thing is I have a hard time actually getting these photos out to you. Something I am really working on.
4- I live in a extremely busy house hold. Currently under our roof there are 8 people here. My family of four, my nephew, my in laws and my grandmother in law- so yea its a full one but makes the best setting for my children as they grow.
5- Finally I whole heartedly LOVE photography and the way it can pull your heart back into a memory or time you were in, Or even fill your heart with emotion looking upon someone else's memories.
There you go this is me in a nut shell. I hope you find a bit of interest in this little blog of mine. I promise I will try to post more as I know its how to stay connected to you all.
I will sign off now and I have finally pushed past my weird little creative slump and watch the Bachelor :)
