Sweet boys with sweets!

I have been online lately seeing quite a few of these adorable little babies in messy situations with cakes...I thought to myself hmmm being a photographer and wanting my main focus to be children and families and at some point in time someone will want to book a cake smash session and I want to be ready. I called up a few friends of mine with little ones and asked if they would be up for it - they were!

Unfortunetly one of the little boys wasn't able to make it(his big brother was sick)but my little man Quinten was up for the action.

The boys sure did love the frosting - note to self get sugar free frosting next time.

I also learned that the younger the better for these types of session as they throw more caution/cake to the wind.

All in all we had a great time and they all needed a bath.

Bath, Boys & Bubbles = They are laughing and I am soaking

I love my boys but bath time is not usually too much fun on my part - I want them clean and off to bed and not to soak the Whole bathroom...but sometimes you need to let kids be kids and document the fun as it happens.

So here are my boys being boys with bubbles in the bath...I hope you all enjoy.

side note having had such a fun time and really enjoying the aftermath of this little photo session I am inspired to do a mini session of kids in bubbles in an outdoor bath this summer - Give me a shout if you'd be interested.

Beautiful Baby Belly

The last two months I have had the privilege of photographing two amazingly gorgeous momma's to be...capturing their happiness, joy and anticipation has Almost made me want to be pregnant again, almost but not actually.

The weather was grey and overcast but perfect considering its winter time, and since we live on Vancouver Island that usually spells R`A`I`N.

Our location was downtown Nanaimo which also means a few characters around, but we tried to make that part of the fun of the morning...I was just glad Shara was able to have a good time and laugh about the same things I saw as funny. Honestly though downtown Nanaimo has some incredible photo locations...I love this Island.

I truly enjoyed our session and Shara's company, I hope you all enjoy the images!
