Its a bird, Its a plane, Its...SUPER SKYLER!

Skyler is a boy FULL of imagination!

He loves pretending he is a Inja (otherwise known as a Ninja), Cheetah, Leopard, Dinosaurs, Line attacker(not sure what that is, he didn't explain), Superman.
His list goes on and on...the other part of his imagination is the imaginary friends he has had since he was 2 and is father and I left him for more than one night ever.

I still wonder if its our fault that he came up with imaginary friends...but I guess they haven't really been a bad thing for him. HaHa, Clark, Tiger and Squirter have been good to him ;)

Skyler was so excited to have his photo taken as "Superman/SuperSkyler"
Kids aren't always willing and cooperative with photos, I know! But when you combined their imagination and some play and fun - you get images you and they can truly enjoy!!

Enjoy

Skyler's brother Quinten just couldn't miss out on the fun in pretend play! He's no Clark Kent but I still think he's pretty cute ;)

Did you know plenty of fish works?!

I'll be honest I really didn't think anyone found true relationships online.

But then I met Sarah and Jordan.

I first met them for tea at The Bees Knees downtown Nanaimo, we chatted about how they met on Plenty of Fish, then fell in love and then how their wedding will come together in Duncan at Providence Farm in July. I really look forward to seeing how it all comes together with the lovely DIY touches they have in store.

Getting to see them through my lens at their engagement session was really fun, I was able to see the true love, their silly sides, and their sweet glances.

Behind the camera you get to glimpse into peoples true natures and I must say Sarah and Jordan are two sweet happy people!

Enjoy

Generations of family happiness

Who doesn't love a joyful fun happy family? I know I sure do!

I had such a great time with these wonderful people!

I have always been envious of families that have their grandparents so close and get to truly have that special bond as they grow up.

Grandparents are very special and should be treasured, they let children do things parents can't handle, they help them explore their imagination, and learn great life skills. Many awesome memories to be had with close families.

Enjoy this sweet family and their true connection.

Any family that is up for crazy face photos is awesome in my books

Little Hipsters in the making ?

Being a parent is never easy...anyone who tells you different is lying.
That being said it is also very rewarding having children...sometimes you have to search thru the crying, fits, throwing of cars, breaking of your precious items, meltdowns(theirs and yours) to see the true beauty of children. Getting to truly know your children and their personalities and traits and characteristics, their imagination and yearning to explore is such a privilege. If only we could tap into that ourselves. We really can learn from them.

I had a truly intense hard week with my boys last week. Moments where yes I cried...lots where they cried

But going thru these photos(and others) of my little monsters helped me remember it is worth it, they are happy, they are cute, they are good, they love me and I love them and they are going to be amazing men as they grow up.

That is the wonderful thing about photography -  you get to go back in time - Think of photography as the cheapest time travel EVER!

We quickly get trasnported to that time where things were good, everyone was happy and laughing, oh and the smell of the rain or whatever, you get my drift. Photos hold my heart!

I hope you enjoy my little monsters truly posing it up for me in their little hipster look (which they picked out themselves) I'm sure you can see some of their true attitude show thru.

Thanks
